 Ya’at’ééh!  Greetings!

We, at the Navajo Nation Environmental Protection Agency (Navajo EPA), are excited, as we make preparations for the 2018 Environmental Conference.  This year, the conference theme is, “Nahasdzáán Nihimá Bits’iis Baa’ahaya Nihideet’í,” which roughly translates from Navajo to English as, “Protecting Mother Earth Begins with Us.”

The environmental conference is an opportunity for you to learn about current up-to-date information on environmental regulations or new research on environmental health studies, from environmental professionals working directly with the Navajo Diné people on the Navajo Nation.

At this year’s environmental conference, Navajo EPA is working with ACME Environmental, Inc., from Albuquerque, New Mexico -- to provide at a conference discounted rate, the 8-hour Refresher HazWoper Training Certification. In addition, Navajo EPA will be hosting the Environmental Awards Banquet – to recognize the hard work contributed to the protection of Navajo Diné human health, and the protection of the Navajo Diné environment. Both the training certification and the awards banquet are slated for Thursday, June 21st.  Please refer to the conference agenda.

Lastly, this year, conference attendees will hear from three Navajo professionals, as they deliver the Keynote Address, during the Opening Plenary Session, the Environmental Awards Banquet, and the Closing Plenary Session.

Below are instructions for registering for the conference, making hotel reservations at the conference discounted rate, instructions on registering for the 8-hour HazWoper Training as well as how to register as a conference exhibitor or as a conference presenter.

A’hxe’hee!  Thank You!
